As Yorkshire's premier Wedding and Function band SouthWestBand once again descend upon the great city of Leeds on the 27th January at The Wardrobe. Here is a guide with our recs for the best places to eat, drink, and stay in Leeds before and after the event 'SouthWestBand - Live in Leeds 2024'

Quick pre-gig fuel up

Leeds Kirkgate Market: A historic market that offers a range of street food stalls, serving up everything from burgers and hot dogs to Thai and Indian cuisine. Open till 5.30 on a weekend, one of our personal favourites is Jenny's Jerk Chicken.

Trinity Kitchen: A street food market located in the Trinity shopping centre that offers a range of international cuisine.

Aagrah: Indian restaurant literally opposite the venue

The Wardrobe: The event Venue is also open and serve food from 12pm.

Zaap Thai, Mommy Thai: Quick, light and tasty. SWB fully endorse Thai cuisine. Booking is advised, they get pretty busy on a Saturday.

Pre/Post gig pints?

Merrion Street: Head over to one of our favourite streets in Leeds. A hub for Clubs and bars. MOJO, Verve, Parkside Tavern and many more.

Call Lane: Another nightlife hub with bars and clubs for whatever music, drinks or atmosphere you’re looking for. Smokestack, Call Lane Social, Brooklyn and tons more.

The Domino Club: A popular speak easy night club located below a Barber shop in the Grand Arcade. If you’re looking for more live music they have a house band on every Saturday from 10.30pm. They specialize in Jazz, Funk and Soul.

The HiFi Club: A club that features live music and DJ sets, as well as a range of cocktails and beers. They've also got a pretty decent comedy night on Saturdays for future reference.

Belgrave Music Hall: A multi-level venue and bar, known for its diverse live music, street food stalls, rooftop terrace, and unique atmosphere.

Electric Shuffle: We tried this place in our last staff do and it was great fun. Fun and interactive shuffle board games to bring our your competitive streak. Loser gets the next round in!
